Dog
During the first quarter of my public education years.
One late night I received what I thought was a wonderful surprise.
A cute little black puppy waving its tail.
The Trombly family had a new member... or more specifically.
I had a pet of my own now.
I named the puppy Sable
A lonely boy's childhood dream come true.
We spent our first night with me attempting to roll around a baseball far too large for a little puppy to play catch with.

I spent the night dreaming what life will be like with a pet dog of my own.
I was so excited, I've spent so much of my lifetime alone in a room by myself
I finally had a companion.
The bad news arrived as suddenly as the good news.
I arrived home from school to be informed by Mom that Cassidy had attacked Sable

I arrived home from school to be informed Cassidy had attacked Sable.
This shouldn't be a surprise to us, because Cassidy was extremely protective with anyone besides us three around.
Side Note:
We LOVE Cassidy.
I still did after that...
Sable left as quickly as she arrived.
Back to my room, all alone, left to my own devices again
