Chapter Fourteen

Cross Theory
This chapter is a short one that's meant to be told through illustration and not words. But for the purposes of this rough draft.
There is a lovely two-game series that consists of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross.
I know there are other versions of this theory, but for the purposes of where I'm standing from. I'm referring to it as the Cross Theory.
Truth be told I don't know I died, but what happened was random and severe enough I sure feel it, I believe I did. Or, I got as close to that without fully crossing that abyss I really can't tell the difference.
That's the point of the Cross Theory.
IF I did die that day, if alternate universes exist as far as I can tell, I'm just continuing on from an alternate version.
Yeah, everything's ok, I'm alive and well for the most part, so things continue on.
But if there was ever a logical point I could point directly at and think to myself:
"Come on! If there was ever a moment where you have to question what if I did perish for real. It's just been too tight and too weird and too much of a coincidence."
It's like the universe is laughing in my face with a slow manic pacing whilst I try to mind my own business alone and live as peacefully as possible. While continuing to strive for financial independence in spite of my unique circumstances.
If I... hopefully when I draw a line identifying the point I'd have to some degree believe a fork in my existence exists, that's it!
In other words: "What if you did die, and you just continued on elsewhere and don't even realize it."
